Collision sends woman to hospital

A woman was sent to hospital following a collision in Portage la Prairie on Wednesday evening.

At about 6:40 p.m. Portage RCMP report a car traveling on Saskatchewan Avenue W. collided with two parked vehicles — an SUV and a pick-up truck near the intersection of 12th Street S.E.

The two parked vehicles were empty at the time.

The female driver of the car was taken to Portage District General Hospital for treatment.

There were no other injuries reported.

Portage RCMP, Regional Health Ambulance Service and Portage Emergency Services attended the scene.

Alcohol is not a factor in the incident, Portage RCMP confirmed.

The collision is under investigation.
